Growing up in Southeast North Carolina Ali has spent his entire life enjoying the great outdoors. Churning dirt at an early age on dirt bikes, Ali’s shift into the wheeling hobby was a natural one. After graduating with a degree in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Ali went after his dream of being an automotive journalist. With years of 4x4 and fabrication experience now coupled with a writing degree Ali sent off his application to Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road, and ultimately landed the role as Feature Editor (January 2007). Fast forward a few years later and Ali still considers himself one of the luckiest guys on the planet. Some of Ali’s project’s include the Danger Ranger, Project Super Cross, and the Viper powered Dodge Durango known as the Heavy Metal Mudder.
