Top Truck Challenge 2002 Introduction

Not much question about it, Top Truck Challenge is the ultimate test of man and machine--but you already know that, unless you've spent the last several years in a cave. To win, a vehicle must have a balance of power, flexible suspension, strength and reliability. Top Truck Challenge is not merely about the vehicle, however. The skill and the experience of the driver and spotter, and their ability to think on their feet, can make or break a team.

As always, Four Wheeler's readers selected this year's Top Truck competitors. Last month we presented those who made the cut--and an exceptionally strong crop of vehicles it was. We bring you the action from Top Truck Challenge 2002 presented by 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers, as competitors from across the globe--indeed, four were from outside the U.S.--made the journey to Hollister Hills SVRA to do battle, braving high temperatures and poison oak.
