This stretch of trail is typical of the last 2.5 miles of Rattlesnake Road. Low-range and decent ground clearance are mandatory. You won't need a rockcrawler, but don't plan on taking a stock Tahoe or Durango.

Thanks to the H3's real-world placement of the spare tire, jack, and tools, it only took us 10 minutes to swap tires after our flat. The sidewall scuff marks on the blown tire in the foreground are an indication of the rocky terrain on the latter portion of the trail.
