1997 Chevy S10 Front Axle
1997 Chevy S-10 - 2007 Top Truck Challenge Competitor
Ho hum, another 2 1/2-ton Rockwell frontend. Still, you gotta love the 6.72:1 gears and Detroit Locker in the front diff, not to mention the Ouverson Engineering pinion brake that helps stop the fully hydro-steered Rock'. The really new and novel trick to this setup, though, can be found at the axle ends, where 46-inch Mickey Thompson Claws are custom-cut (the first time we've ever seen this trick with this tread) and wrapped around 15-inch MRT rims. The front suspension is a fully Heim-jointed four-link incorporating 14-inch-travel Fox coilovers and a Currie Anti-Rock sway bar. View Related Article
