Pulling into the marina at La Paragua, we shared the flooded streets with boats and police cars. Our shiny rigs were quite the spectacle, and a crowd of bar patrons watched in curiosity as we boarded. Sharing the four-vehicle platform with a supply truck for a local ranch, we paid the Capitan our tariff and pulled away.
