Pickup trucks? What pickup trucks? While we spent most of our time rooting for the Detroit Three this year, we have to confess that it's hard to beat the Italian aisle for sweet designs and sleek lines. It's gotta be in the blood.

Shameless Self Promotion Dept.: The Hummer booth was by far the coolest, most bad-ass place to hang out this year, not the least because our vaunted Pickup Truck of the Year trophy honoring the H3T was on display. And during the week, our intrepid Tech Editor Sean P. Holman (right) presented our exclusive award to James Taylor, the new CEO of Hummer and a genuinely nice guy.

We know that the Hummer brand has taken a lot of P.R. hits from both the lefties and from a lot of wheelers as well, but as far as we're concerned, they make a quality product, and we were glad to present them their richly-deserved trophy-but not before we made them promise to buy us lunch (which they did, and Cuban food, no less).
