2009 Off Road Expo Expo
Off Road Expo, held every October in Pomona, California, is one of our favorite shows to attend. Not only does it feel like a family reunion since it's the annual gathering place of the who's who in the off-highway industry, but it comes just a month before the SEMA Show, giving manufacturers a chance to preview many of the products and vehicles that will officially be unveiled in Las Vegas. With countless vehicles on display, here are our favorites of the show-the ones we'd gladly park in our garage.

2009 Off Road Expo Toyota Land Cruiser
Camburg had this killer Toyota Land Cruiser on display, featuring their 2.5-inch coilover front suspension system matched with an OME rear setup.Thirty three-inch Generals mounted on American Racing Vice wheels make room for a TRD big brake kit. A beautifully integrated ARB front bumper and roof rack, along with KC HID lights, add some outback style to an otherwise elegant SUV. We think this would be the ultimate daily-driving weekend warrior. We just may have to figure out how to get some seat time and shoot a feature.

2009 Off Road Expo Koronis Beard Custom
We found this little gem inside the Beard seat booth. Sporting a twin-turbocharged 1,400hp V-8, and more custom interior amenities than a Rolls Royce, this Buckshot Racing Monster Energy Corvette prerunner was an absolute show-stopper.

2009 Off Road Expo Big Oly Baja Racer
This one-off recreation of yesteryear blends body lines of the mid-70s Big Oly Baja racer with the unlimited high-zoot technology found in Trophy Trucks of today. Obviously, this clean execution of a well-known theme resonated well with the older generations attending the show.

Poly Performance used its shop Wrangler Unlimited to debut its all-new JK long-arm kit. With a host of other Poly products, such as its front sport cage kit, storage baskets, and body armor, this Unlimited is fully capable of conquering any trail imaginable and would look especially good sitting in front of our house.

2009 Off Road Expo Ifs Koh Buggy
Shannon Campbell's awesome IFS KOH buggy was on display outside the Currie Enterprises booth. Unless you've been living under a rock on another planet, you've probably heard the buzz about how this vehicle blurs the lines between a go-fast desert race vehicle and a tactical rock crawler. We look forward to seeing it compete at the 2010 KOH event in Johnson Valley.

2009 Off Road Expo First Racing Simulator
Outside in the Fiberwerx booth, the crowd got a chance to try out the very first racing simulator of it kind. Essentially, you sit in a Trophy Kart that is attached to a hydraulic platform. Using the popular Sony Playstation 3 gaming console and the new videogame Dirt 2, virtual racers got to experience a free simulated testdrive in a Baja race vehicle or rally car. Needless to say, this booth had a long line in front of it all weekend long.
