"We received the magazine Wednesday night, and my 8-year-old son Dennis said, 'I'll find the numbers if I can go with you tomorrow to find the marker.'"Sure enough, he found them, and the location was close enough for us so we left at 10:00 a.m. the next morning. We got to Anza-Borrego desert about 11:30 a.m. It was a beautiful day between 75 and 80 degrees F. The GPS took us right to the spot. It was located about 1/2 mile off the paved road on a dirt trail. My '03 Jeep Rubicon was a little overkill - any SUV could have made this trail. The marker was under a bush with some rocks on it. It took about two minutes to find the marker once we were at the spot. It was a great day for me, my wife (not pictured), and my son.
Thank you,
Craig Bruneault
