Each year thousands flock to the riverfront resort city that is Laughlin Nevada for the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge. The highlight for many each year is the infamous Laughlin Leap. Held on the Thursday night before the racing kicks off the Leap tests not only the limits of the machines but the nerve of the man behind the wheel. The premise is simple, jump the furthest. The record jump was set back in 2004 by Mark post with an astonishing distance of 160' 6". This years winner, Robby Gordon, came close with a winning jump of 152' 2", but this was still over eight feet shy of Post's record. We can't wait until next year to see if somebody will have the engine, and the cohunes, to break the record.
