R.G. Dickey of Kalispell, Montana, was our chauffeur for the week, and we were amazed time and again with the capability of his TJ-based buggy. R.G. co-built it with Jared Prindle of AFW Motorsports using the frame, 4.0L, five-speed manual transmission, and 231 T-case from an '00 TJ. To that they added a Klune-V underdrive, high-pinion Dana 44s with 4.88s, and ARBs. It rolls on beadlocked 36-inch Iroks and is hung from 12-inch Sway-A-Way coilovers with custom four-links. They topped it off with a functional tube body that is indestructible yet comfortable and legal on the highway.
