Mike Fenwick and his bad-to-the-bone 2002 F-350 have no problem getting through the muck. The big Ford was built by Northern 4x4 Suppliers to take on the extreme Alaskan backcountry. Lee and his wife often disappear for days in the Arctic bush on hunting expeditions or 4x4 adventures, and rely heavily on their rig to get them there and back. The F-350 is powered by a 7.3L Power Stroke diesel with a Banks Six-Gun Performance tuner to add that extra kick. The rig sits high with an 8-inch lift kit and 39-inch Super Swampers. A Dynatrac front axle with an ARB Air Locker and 4.56:1 gears helped it through the muck. The rear axle is loaded with a Detroit Locker for ultimate traction. Mike equipped his rig with an ARB snorkel, which allows the Power Stroke to breathe underwater, and a portable 12000-pound Warn winch for when the going gets tough. He also added a Can-Back canvas shell and remote fuel cell to his rig for long trips into the Alaskan Outback.
