This incredible ’70 Ford F-250, owned by Darren and Deanna Smith, won the Best 4x4 (up to 1997) award and the truck has a fascinating story. It was purchased by Deanna’s dad, Leon Barron, in March of 1970 from Bob Marrow Ford in West Memphis, Arkansas. Deanna was born in July of 1970, so she and the truck “grew up” together. The truck was Leon’s pride and joy. He used the truck for basic commuting and to tow various trailers like a fifth-wheel camper, ski boat, and stock trailer. The Ford was Leon’s only truck until he passed away in 1991.
