One unique find on our route was an upside-down truck left by the original LRDG. Little is known about this vehicle, which was possibly discovered in 2007 (not verified). It appears to be a ’42 or so Canadian Ford 30 ctw, but no verifiable VIN was visible. Constant sandblasting had removed the paint on the windward side, but the paint was remarkably intact on the lee side and below sand level. It’s possible that the truck was overturned to make salvaging of the running gear easier.
