As you crest Silver Canyon you’ll find yourself near the rooftop of the White Mountains, home of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. Our route intersected the two-track leading from the Schulman Grove and visitor’s center to the fairly remote Patriarch Grove. Each of these groves of Ancient Bristlecone trees holds gnarled trees thousands of years old. Fascinating stuff, and worth a return visit. We dropped into Wyman Canyon instead.
