When we go to shoot trail coverage, we often wear our Jp shirts, and in this case we were on the trails in our yellow shirts. It took Arnold Hester no time to ask if we were shooting for the magazine, it turns out he’s a reader. His ’78 CJ-7 runs a 304ci AMC V-8 with a T-18 and a Dana 300. The front axle is a Dana 60 and the rear a 14-bolt. Both have 4.56 gears with the rear benefitting from a Detroit Locker. The wheelbase is stretched and 39.5-inch bias-ply IROKs put power to the ground.
