Since David Tignor’s rig was down, he rode in co-owner Darren Hood’s ’74 Land Cruiser. Darren runs a propane powered 350 with a 700R tranny and Atlas 5:1 transfer case. The Detroit Locker–equipped 21⁄2-ton Rockwell axles with 4-wheel steer power the 47-inch LTBs Originally built by N.A.S.A. Off Road, it’s sporting 18-inch Fox air shocks at each corner. In this gully the 4-wheel steering helped steer them out of trouble.
