The other old timer of the day was this ’83 CJ-5 belonging to Keith Norton Sr. This last year CJ-5 benefits from a ’93 4.0HO inline-six with a TJ airbox, Centerforce2 clutch, and owner-fabbed crank position sensor mount in the T-18 bellhousing. The T-18 is bolted to a Dana 20 which then sends power out to the front Dana 30 and rear Dana 44. Both axles are stuffed with 3.73 gears and the front is Lincoln Locked while the rear has a Trac-Loc in it. The 34-inch Swampers are cleared thanks to a 4-inch suspension lift and a 2-inch body lift.
