Joseph Zink’s ’01 WJ looked really good from this distance flexing on the articulation ramp. Once you got closer though, it became obvious just how hard he likes beating on this thing. Most of the doors don’t close all the way, taillights are missing, and more evidence of extreme use abounds. Under the hood, the factory 4.0L is mated to the automatic transmission, but Joseph pulled a T-case out of Dakota to split power to the axles. Front and rear Dana 60s put power to the ground with 5.13 gears and an OX Locker up front with a Detroit Locker in the rear. A home-built suspension keeps those 37-inch MT/Rs planted.
