For the first time ever in short-course history, the TORC series rolled into the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota, during the famed “bike week.” Over 400,000 motorcycle enthusiasts packed the small town of only 6,000 people. One of the most popular venues in the town known as The Buffalo Chip hosted the TORC series and a purpose-built short-course track was constructed on their property. For the racers who made the trip, it was a chance to bring a new fan base to the sport.

Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts pack The Buffalo Chip to watch short-course racing.
