Warm temperatures didn’t stop thousands of off-road fans from descending on the annual Off-Road Expo held at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds at the Fairplex in Pomona. Fans got a chance to check out dozens of customized off-road race vehicles, meet celebrity off-road drivers, and, of course, talk to manufacturers about aftermarket parts for their vehicles. Lucas Oil set up a mini short-course exhibition track running Modified Karts, Pro-Lites, and Pro-4s for the crowd. Fans got a chance to test out RC trucks. Good deals could be found if you knew where to look; some parts dealers slashed prices for those who bought directly at the show. The biggest highlight of the weekend took place just outside of the Expo. Red Bull set up a half-mile straight rhythm course on the Fairplex dragstrip. For an additional ticket fee, enthusiasts watched the motorcross Top 32 battle for the fastest time, including James Stewart and Travis Pastrana. Another big highlight at the Expo event was SCORE International Off-Road racing. SCORE President and CEO Roger Norman released the Baja 1000 course map in a press conference Saturday afternoon. Fans could also relax on couches and watch Baja racing on a jumbotron screen.

There was no shortage of high-profile vehicles on display at the Expo.
