Rage at the River Closes Out 2014 SNORE Season

Rage at the River closes out a great season for the Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts (SNORE) off-road racing series. Many racers who participate in the series say the two races of the season they look forward to the most are the Battle at Primm, and Rage at the River.

Overall winner for the event was Justin “Bean” Smith.

Both venues are sprint races, which put talent and horsepower to the test. MGI Motorsports cosponsored this event with McKenzie’s Off Road, hosting a pre-party celebration and putting up prize money for the participants. The course, which was 12 miles long, offered a variety of challenging terrain. From high-speed straights, to what has been dubbed the “dead man’s drop,” and a set of short-course influenced triple jumps located in the infield, where spectators were able to watch battles and fast flying action.

Looking forward to 2015, racers will be getting ready for a very crowded Battle at Primm, as SNORE and the Mojave Off Road Enthusiasts join together for the first race of the year. There is certain to be some tire rubbing and door-slamming action, as these two series bring together many competitive teams to see who will have the bragging rights until the two series meet again.
