2006 Rough Country 4 Wheeler's Annual Snow BashPosted in Events on November 17, 2006 Comment (0)
We were invited to go wheeling for the Rough Country 4 Wheeler's annual Snow Bash this January. This is the club's 30th anniversary, and they are a whole 26 members strong. The group is based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, so the size of the club is understandable.
What they lack in sheer number of members, they make up for in places to wheel, how often they go out, and horsepower. The group goes out once a month, and we were fortunate enough to accompany them to the Sand Dunes in Walden, Colorado. This is the 20th Annual Snow Bash, and they sure do bash the snow.
When these guys name a snow-wheeling trip Snow Bash, they aren't kidding. Half of the vehicles that showed up were shod with 38-inch and larger tires. Those tires were driven by an assortment of healthy V-8s as well. And if that wasn't enough, all the skinny pedals were screaming for mercy by the end of the day. This wheeling trip sounded closer to a NASCAR race then it did to a Jeep trip.
