Ryleigh Boyd stole her dad’s YJ-grilled ’82 Scrambler for part of the day. The Jeep sports an incredibly rappy, Edelbrock Pro-Flow fuel-injected ’77 GM 350 engine. Power is sent into a TH400 tranny, an Advance Adapters 3:1 low range Atlas T-case, and shaved Rockwell 2½-ton steering axles front and rear with 6.72 gears and Detroit Lockers. The Jeep is supported by triangulated four-links front and rear along with 14-inch ORI ST struts and it rolls on 18.5/44-15 Super Swamper TSL tires mounted to 15x10 MRW wheels with custom aluminum beadlock rings. This CJ-8 has a lot of cool home-built items; keep an eye out for a full feature in an upcoming issue.
