Juston Read brought out what might be the best year for the Grand Cherokee; an ’04 model. The last year for the solid front axle, this one is equipped with the 4.7L HO V-8, 545RFE, and swapped-in NV231. The front Dana 30 and rear Dana 44A spin 3.73 gears with limited slips and 32-inch BFG KM2s on the stock wheels. A 6-inch suspension lift provides clearance for those meats but what wasn’t added to the Jeep was a front coil spring retainer. After the spring popped out and they got done forcing it back into its home, Juston wisely decided to head back out the way we came in. It was only going to get more twisty from here.
