This ’67 CJ-5 was probably the most modified rig in our group. It was built by John Briggs of Kings Beach, California. The early CJ-5 (with a later hood) is powered by an odd-fire Buick V-6 and a new Powerjection III fuel-injection system. Backing the DUI-fired V-6 is a Ford T-18 and a Spicer 18 T-case. Axles are a Dana 30 with Alloy USA chromoly shafts and an ARB locker. The rear is a Dana 44 with a Warn full-float kit and a spool. Gears are 5.38s.
