With a 32-gallon GenRight fuel tank, the weight in the rear of the Cherokee can vary almost 200 pounds from an empty tank to a full tank. Our bumpstops are set to keep a 35-inch tire out of the body when articulated, but with only 31⁄2 inches of lift, a fully-loaded Cherokee, and a full tank of gas, we hit the bumpstops too frequently in the whoops. If we had stayed with T&T’s recommended 51⁄2-inch-height, we’d have been fine.
