OK, most people don’t like chrome on Jeeps. We feel like it has its applications and is perfectly acceptable if not overdone. Take for example the chrome grille on Kirk Fackrell’s ’86 CJ-7. Kirk, who is from Salt Lake City, wheels the orange Jeep like a pro. It’s powered by a ’95 Chevy 350 with throttle-body injection hooked to a TH700R4, Dana 300, Dana 44 with chromoly axles and CTM U-joints (front) and a Dana 60 (rear). Careful observers will notice that this CJ-7 is not stock CJ-7 length. You are right; Kirk stretched the Jeep about 10 inches and did most of the bodywork himself.
