2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Pricing Leaked, May Start Around $49,520Posted in Events on July 25, 2016 0) (
Without a doubt, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is one of the most highly anticipated new truck models to come out in some time. With a lighter-weight aluminum body, high-output EcoBoost 3.5L V-6 and 10-speed transmission, it promises to offer the highest level of performance of any Raptor to date. The few questions that remain unanswered to date are the final engine output figures and pricing. Well, thanks to some sleuthing by some insiders at the Ford Raptor Forum, we may have a better idea of what the price for Ford’s off-road hero might be. According to the Ford Fleet order sheet, the 2017 Raptor SuperCab will start at $48,325, plus $1,195 destination, bringing the total to $49,520. Stepping up to the SuperCrew raises the bottom line to $52,505.
To put that in perspective, the 2014 Raptor, the last model year it was officially offered, started at $46,190, including $1,195 destination, for the SuperCab, and $49,090 for the SuperCrew. That’s a $3,300 increase over the starting MSRP of its predecessor. Some on the forum are complaining that that’s too steep a premium and that Ford’s getting “greedy” in its pricing. Considering the going rate of most fullsize trucks today, we don’t think the starting prices are unjustifiable. However, we’d always err toward greater affordability. It may all be academic anyway, as dealers are sure to command a hefty markup for the early adopters that just absolutely must have the first Raptor on their block. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some of the first ones go for around $80,000. What do you think is a fair price for the new Raptor?
