The first race of the Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts (SNORE) 2017 season kicked off in Primm, Nevada over the weekend. Set behind the Buffalo Bills and Primm Valley Resorts casinos, The Battle at Primm course only runs 13.9 miles in length. Most limited classes ran four laps while others ran five laps. Races are broken down into seven heats. Races were run both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night’s weather brought light rains to the area making Sunday’s racing action dust-free. Spectators packed an area known as the Dyke Jump. The jump is the best location to watch trucks air it out. While no records were broken this year, Trophy Truck racer Todd Wylie still holds the record jumping 225 feet . Race results can be found at www.snoreracing.net.
