A cool, overcast morning greeted folks attending the Quadratec pancake breakfast before the vendor show at the 52nd Annual Mile-Hi Jeep Club’s All-4-Fun event. The event had a change of venue this year due to wildfires in southwestern Colorado, relocating to Empire, Colorado, just west of Denver. Roughly 350 Jeeps and vendors from all over the country were registered for the event. The All-4-Fun event allows MHJC to continue making annual contributions to the Children’s Hospital Burn Camp, and to land use projects like the Adopt-A-Road program. MHJC Patrols have adopted many of the trails throughout Colorado and organize cleanup and trail maintenance days. They also support the Blue Ribbon Coalition and Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO).
The line was long as Flippin’ Flapjacks heated up their enormous griddle that can cook up to six dozen fluffy pancakes in a matter of minutes. The batter dispenser gently rolls back and forth along the length of the griddle, popping out four puddles of goodness with every pull of the trigger. Sausages, warmed butter, and syrup rounded out this delightful breakfast sponsored by Quadratec. After the breakfast dishes were disposed of and a top off on that hot cup of coffee, folks made their way onto the field for the vendor show. Local, regional, and national shops and manufacturers were in attendance on the field and under the big top tent.
The 53rd MHJC All-4-Fun event will be in Buena Vista, Colorado, July 27 to August 3, 2019. Registration will open in January and the event fills up quickly. For additional information check out mhjc.org.
