Vintage Jeep Road Trip To Moab

Ahh, Moab! It's the best! If you have never been, you owe it to yourself to figure out how to get yourself there...if not soon, some day. The only thing better than being in Moab is the buildup and trip out to Moab.

For the past few years Staff Writer, Verne Simons, has driven up to Moab from Peoria, Arizona. The drive is fun. You get to see tons of geology, beautiful scenes, and even a few road side Jeeps. This year, Simons drove his '49 CJ-3A...that's right no trailer! Along for the drive was the new owner of project Ground-Up.

Both Jeeps made it to Monument Valley, and even Mexican Hat, Utah without much drama. 40 miles outside Moab, Verne ran out of gas, and then the top blew off Ground-Up! Luckily the top wasn't damaged, and Verne had about 4 gallons of extra gas in a Jerry can.

Stay tuned for more Moab adventures with Verne ad his Flatty!
