The Wagoneer's less expensive and more adventurous cousins were in the '74-'83 Cherokee line. Initially, the Cherokee was only offered as a two-door, but from 1977, a four-door variant was also available. In 1976, the wide-track Cherokee Chief was introduced. With "big" 10-15 Goodyear Tracker tires, 4.09 gears and a 401ci thumper V-8, the Chief was definitely in the sporty category. View Related Article
