The exterior of the truck was meticulously restored by the folks over at Advanced Auto Body in Phoenix. LED taillights were integrated into the truck and a custom RPM-built roof rack was bolted on top. The FJ40 rolls on 35x12.50/17 BFG Mud-Terrain T/A tires wrapped around 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Like the front, the cargo area of Truitt's FJ40 has been coated with Line-X. Also like the front, there's BS Sand seating. On the rear of the truck is a custom RPM-built swing-out tire carrier/bumper combo, which also holds a Hi-Lift Jack and includes a 2-inch receiver hitch.

Yep, that's the stout factory Toyota rear axle. It has been modified with 4.88:1 gears and an ARB Air Locker. The suspension is ultra-simple and comprised of Old Man Emu 4-inch-lift springs with Old Man Emu greasable shackles at the rear and a pair of Rancho RS9000XL shocks.

RPM also fabbed up the custom off-highway-ready front bumper that features built-in recovery points, turn signals, light tabs for the KC lights, and a winch mount holding a Warn 9.5ti winch.

Power runs downstream from the engine and transmission to an Advance Adapters-distributed Orion 4:1 transfer case. From there, torque is sent to the front and rear axles via 'shafts made by Dick's Drive Shaft in Phoenix.
