2004 4X4 Buggy With Drivers
"Road Kill" is all-homemade, from the 15/8 x 0.120-wall tubing and bodywork, to the custom 30-gallon fuel tank, to the 24x12 double beadlocks enveloped by the 52-inch West Lake tractor tires. Light Force Striker 170s provide illumination for night wheeling, and a Warn M12000 is on call for extraction duties.

2004 4X4 Buggy Interior
Long on function, short on frills, the Road Kill interior is strictly business. A pair of Corbeau racing seats in front and RCI seats in the back are equipped with RCI harnesses. A trio of Auto Gages monitor oil, temp, and voltage, and controls for the rear steer and twin-stick 205 'case are within easy reach of the driver.

Up front, another Ouverson-shafted Rockwell axle spins 6.72:1 gears and houses a Detroit Locker. The aluminum four-link, with 6061 upper and 7075 lower control arms, is assisted by 2 1/2-inch King coilovers with remote reservoirs, and King jounce shocks and limiting straps help control compression and rebound.

2004 4X4 Buggy Engine
If it looks bone-stock, that's because, well, it is. The reliable 5.9L Cummins turbodiesel B-motor has been left largely unmolested, though a 4-inch exhaust improves aspiration, and a Painless harness, 150-amp alternator, and Optima RedTop help ensure there's plenty of current underhood to power the engine and various ancillaries.
