Second Time Around
This '78 Toyota LandCruiser FJ40 is the second Cruiser Jeff Murrah has restored. According to his wife, he better hold onto it because it will be his last. The rig has a 4-inch Skyjacker lift, 33x12.5 Super Swampers, and a Detroit locker in the rear with stock 4.10 gears. An 8274 Warn winch, a rollcage, a stock six-cylinder with headers, and a Weber carburetor round off the list.
Jimmy Anderson's '91 Toyota features a spring-over conversion with 2 inches of lift via Jeep springs up front, Chevy springs at the rear, and Rancho shocks on all four corners. Lock Rite lockers front and rear keep the BFG 35x12.5 Mud's mounted on Rock Crawler wheels moving. The engine and tranny are backed by a Marlin dual transfer case with 5.7 gear reduction. The truck also has custom driveshafts and a 9500 HS Warn winch.
This '92 Pathfinder comes to us all the way from Mie, Japan. Its owner, Ryouta Yasuda, installed a front double wishbone suspension with torsion bars and Edelbrock IAS shocks. The rear features custom-built coils with a live axle and Edelbrock IAS shocks. For traction, Ryouta mounted a set of 32x9x16 Swamper TSL's on 16x6.5-inch aluminum wheels. Other extras include an ARB locker, an ARB grilleguard, a Warn 9500 HS, and a Yellow Top Optima.
Bin Laden Smasher
Jason Dunlock's 2000 TJ, nicknamed Bin Laden Smasher, is outfitted with a 6-inch heim jointed suspension with 36-inch hexagonal aluminum control arms. The drivetrain consists of a rear Dana 44, a custom transfer case, and a skidplate. The 35-inch Boggers mounted on 15-inch steel beadlocks will run over any obstacle or terrorist that gets in the way. Jason credits the crew at F.S.T. in Phoenix for helping him with the upgrades on his rig.
