Baja In Washington?
We don't normally receive pictures of prerunner-style trucks from our friends up north in Washington State, but thanks to Jaclyn Whorton, that may change. This fresh '02 Chevy Silverado 1500 belongs to her husband Michael, presently serving his country in Iraq. Jaclyn wrote OR to say that Michael is a fan of desert racing and performed all of the modifications to his Chevy with the help of his friends. Jaclyn also said that it's been Michael's dream since purchasing his truck new to see it in the pages of OR. Well here you go! Apparently, Michael has given his rig a full complement of fiberglass body panels to go along with a 6-inch RCD lift kit and 35/12.50R16 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires. Michael also increased his truck's capabilities by fortifying the engine with a Hypertech Power Programmer III and a K&N Filtercharger air intake as well as upgrading the rearend with a locking differential. Michael's truck looks great, and he gets bonus points for actually painting the fiberglass to match the truck. Mike's set the standard for all future Washington State prerunner submissions, so who's next?

Girls Kick Ass
If you own a truck and happen to be a woman, your chances of getting your ride published in OR increase exponentially compared with your male counterparts. Why is this? Well first off, we hardly ever receive letters from girls who love the dirt and have their own trucks. And second, Editor Mollis has a thing for chicks with trucks, so it's a safe bet that if you're a woman with a truck - even if the truck is up on blocks - he'll put it in the magazine. Lucky for us, Lesly Borges of Aumsville, Oregon, owns a Tacoma that isn't up on blocks and is actually a very clean example of Toyota dirt prowess. Lesly is quick to point out that this Taco' belongs to her and not her boyfriend. To date, Lesly has added a 6-inch Trailmaster suspension lift kit, which gave ample room beneath the wheelwells for 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires and Ultra wheels. Lesly is most proud of her own personal touches, though, including vinyl graphics that let everyone know this is a woman's truck. We can't argue with that.

Worst Stuck
Physics Schmysics
Take one 4-foot-deep mud hole that the locals have dubbed, "The Eliminator," three friends named Andy, Rob, and Josh who are hungover from the previous evening's Halloween festivities, toss in this poor, stock '87 Ford F-150 V-6 truck, and you've got a recipe for disaster. It took the trio half a year, two broken handyman jacks, and a four-wheel-drive tractor to free the Ford from the clutches of pit. Next time, Rob, aka "The Captain," will probably drive around the hole the day after Halloween.
