September 2004 Trail Rigs

Arizona Explorer
In 1998, Richard and Jacie Rubenstein moved to Arizona and switched from touring on the pavement to four-wheel trail exploration. They love Arizona's plentiful trails and scenic areas. The couple owns a '98 Sahara-edition TJ and installed a 3-1/2-inch Rubicon Express suspension system, slip-yoke eliminator kit, ARB Air Locker in the rear, front and rear bumpers, differential skidplates, rocker guards, 33-inch M/TRs on Rock Crawler Extreme steel wheels, Rancho 9000 shocks, MasterCraft Rubicon seats, and much more.

Another Happy NAXJA Member
This is Bill Powell's '94 171,000-mile Cherokee Sport and daily driver. The XJ features a 3-inch BDS lift, RE track bar, JKS disconnects, Rusty's crossmember, T-case skidplate, and differential guards. Bill built his own custom rocker guards using 2x3-inch steel tube. For performance, a K&N FIPK kit, Jet chip, Jeepers and Creepers throttle body, high-flow cat, and DynoMax after-cat system were added. Bill would really like to thank his fellow members on the NAXJA Web site for their invaluable tech help.

Salt Lake City 'Wheeler
Joe Kunz of Salt Lake City loves 'wheeling the trails of his home state in his '86 CJ-7. To get his Jeep to go anywhere and everywhere, he added a Howell fuel-injection system, spring-over lift, Dana 44 rear axle, Currie 9-inch front axle, M.O.R.E traction bar, 33-inch Goodyear M/TRs, Flowmaster exhaust, Ramsey 9900 winch, K&N air filter, and rocker guards. Happy 'wheeling, Joe.
