Mesa Rock Crawling - Table Mesa Restoration

On a Saturday this past summer, the Arizona Rock Crawlers, BTG Rockcrawlers, and other local four-wheelers from the Phoenix area met at the Table Mesa Trail area north of Phoenix. The group gathered at the popular Annihilator Trail to perform some trail maintenance. The trail had fallen into disrepair in a variety of ways: There were signs of fluid spillage, a by-pass sign had been removed, and vehicles were not staying on the main trail. Work for the day included cleaning up fluids, erecting a new BLM trail sign, and removing literally tons of rocks that had been stacked on the trail by unprepared drivers attempting to build ramps at the base of obstacles. About 25 people showed up for the trail renovation, and plans are currently underway to do similar project work on other trails in the area.

We applaud the efforts of these dedicated four-wheelers for devoting their time and energy to not only maintaining the trails, but ensuring that they remain open for others to come and enjoy.
