If you're looking for an organized run up the Rubicon Trail, the annual event put on by the folks at Jeepers Jamboree might be just the thing. Always staged on the last full weekend of July, the Jamboree is held for either three or four days, and the group supplies all the food. The Jeepers also provide trail-repair stations at Spider Lake, Buck Island, and in the main camp at Rubicon Springs. While on the trail, four-wheelers are joined by the Rock Rollers trail-guide crew, which stays hard at work until the last rig gets to the evening's stopping point. The Jeepers Jamboree group, headed up by Rich Mainwaring, spends the year coordinating all the support and manpower that make this event such a success. With 52 years under its belt, Jeepers Jamboree will undoubtedly continue refining its talent for showing people such a good time on the Rubicon.
