Rally Racing - Haulin' Or Crawlin' III-Media ReviewPosted in Features on September 20, 2006
These are the kinds of DVD series we really enjoy spending time on the couch with. The Haulin' or Crawlin' series brings you a little bit of everything no matter what your favorite wheeling action may be. Part III takes us back into the world of competition rockcrawling, rock racing, and backcountry off-roading. The 43-minute film covers various parts of Southern California, the SEMA show, Nevada, Utah, Area BFE, Washington, South Dakota, Northern California, and more.
What really makes a good off-road DVD is great footage. In order to get that, you need to be in five places at once. The people at RP Films somehow manage to do that, showing us how the winners make it through with ease and how some of the unfortunate drivers crash and burn. This film has some of the craziest crashes we've seen in a long time. It makes you wonder why people even want to attempt such feats.
The soundtrack RP chose this time around is topnotch for this type of action: fast-paced, heart-pounding beats. Bands include: Bumblefoot, Bloo Voodoo, Core, Flyswatter, Incorporated, Monkey Pirates, Motormilk, Wit' the Movement, and Iriepathie.
The usual major players are in this third installment as well. Jason Paule and Travis Wadeson, Dustin "Rockitman" Webster and Frank "Chief" Johnson, Don "The Maverick" Robbins, Tracy Jordan and Jerry Watson, and a laundry list of others.
Haulin' or Crawlin' III is another great addition to our DVD collection. Be sure to watch it all the way through the credits so you don't miss the Girls of SEMA footage, backyard rally racing, and more.
