Don't let the rather plain-looking exterior of Patrick Carr's '98 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab fool you - it's loaded with aftermarket goodies. He is the original owner of this truck and has racked up over 100,000 miles taking it in the dirt everywhere from the Rubicon Trail to the sand dunes of Glamis and Ocotillo Wells, California. The suspension he chose for this Blue Oval is a 5-inch, RCD coilover conversion lift kit running Bilstein shocks both front and rear. In order to help run 35-inch-tall tires, he also added a 3-inch PA body lift with gap guards. For extra power, he strapped on a K&N FIPK intake system, BBK throttle body, and a Jet Performance power module. Patrick is a true off-road enthusiast who seeks out the most challenging terrain he can find. With many more modifications on the way, this is one truck to keep an eye out for.

Dear Off-Road Magazine, I am a National Guard soldier from Shaftsbury, Vermont. I am currently serving with the 1/172 Armor Battalion in Ramadi, Iraq. I thought you might enjoy these photos of an 8-wheel-drive, turbo-powered Hemmett delivering fuel for our generators. Specialist Daniels from the northern New York area is the driver, and Specialist Cadieu is the passenger taking this ride. When it rains here, the ground doesn't take the water too well. The sand is mostly clay, which is many a four-wheeler's dream come true. Combine that with incoming mortars and rockets, and you have extreme off-roading at its best. I took these photos one morning while on guard duty on the perimeter. Thanks for a great magazine. We love seeing what the boys at home are doing in our absence.
