2006 Dodge 2500 TRX 4WD & 2004 Jeep Wrangler - Off-Road RidesPosted in Features on November 1, 2006 0) (
I Love My TruckLance Ortemond of Youngsville, Louisiana, has been working on his dream truck for some time now. This '06 Dodge 2500 TRX 4WD Big Horn Edition truck is just what he's been looking for all his life. Lance has added a 6-inch Superlift suspension system and a 2-inch Pro Comp front lift spacer giving his Dodge a total 8 inches of lift. That is just the right amount to clear the massive 37-inch Pro Comp Xtreme A/T tires surrounding the custom Chip Foose chrome wheels.
On top of suspension modifications, Lance is running a Superchips tuner, an aFe stage-two intake system, and Banks exhaust to help keep this big truck power-happy. He informs us that his truck works perfectly for his needs and that he gets stopped all the time with questions from fellow Dodge enthusiasts.
Ready For AnythingWhen he is not spending his time saving a life or putting out a local fire, Los Angeles County firefighter Greg Pasqua wheels his '04 Jeep Wrangler. Although at first glance his Jeep looks tame, there is a good amount of money dumped into this ride. With the extra weight of the Warn winch, Greg has added a 1.5-inch suspension lift that includes heavy-duty springs and Bilstein shocks. He has also added ARB Air Lockers to both the front and rear axles with a set of 4.11-ratio Dana Spicer gears to match.
Greg lives in San Juan Capistrano, California, with his wife, and she has already let him know that he can continue on this project only after she gets a new vehicle. You got to pay to play, right Greg?
What A Good Time"My name is Robert King from Nampa, Idaho, and this is my '90 Ford Bronco. My truck and I love to spend time off-roading and four-wheeling with buddies in the Idaho backcountry. I belong to the local High Desert Off-Road Club, and boy do we have a good time together in the dirt. During a recent weekend trip, my friend snapped this picture of me getting some flex over a section. I am running a 4-inch Tuff Country suspension, 33-inch Wild Country tires, Flowmaster exhaust, FlowTech headers, MSD ignition, an Optima battery, and seven KC lights. I hope to see my Ford in your magazine because it's the best off-road magazine around."
Thanks for the support, Robert. Be sure to have your friends pick up a copy to see you in action!
