The Pro-2 Truck is a full-size truck that is built or manufactured as a full-size two wheel drive pick up truck. The trucks must be a standard manufacturer production vehicle that is available to the general public in the United States. In addition the trucks style must have a production of five-thousand and the trucks body style, engine, and chassis must all be from the same manufacturer. Pro-2 trucks are limited to a maximum of 800 horsepower. Front wheel travel is limited to 18inches and rear wheel travel is limited to 20inches. These trucks have a minimum wheel base of 113inches with a maximum of 120inches. Maximum track width is 93inches outside of tire to outside of tire with a maximum body width of 80inches. The truck must also weigh a minimum of 3,400 pounds; with the minimum front axle weight being 48% of the total truck weight.
Rounds 1 & 2 included 2 rounds of racing and the first round of the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Qualifier.
Round 1 was won by Rob MacCachren and followed by Jerry Whelchel who was less 8/10th's of a second behind him. And Todd LeDuc rounded out the top three.
Round 2 was won by Jerry Welchel with Rob MacCachren a mere 1/2 second behind the winner Welchel. Ricky Johnson rounded out the top three in round 2.
The Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Qualifier was a heated battle to say the least. After a tough break took Robby Gordon out of the lead and out of the race Jerry Welchel went on to win with Ricky Johnson in second and Carl Renezeder finishing thrid.
