For reliability and strength, the Adventure Prospector has a Tera CRD50R 1-ton hybrid frontend with 4.56 gears and a Detroit Locker. The Dana 50 is a bit smaller than a 60, allowing better ground clearance while still being very strong. The CRD50R uses 1-ton brakes, rotors, and hubs. Rand fabricated a custom track-bar mount that allows the track bar to be the same length as the drag link, eliminating bumpsteer (no, it's not enough to have them be the same angle). This is a problem that few address in the TJ and JK Wranglers. The heavy-duty TeraFlex tie rod and drag links have 1-ton tie-rod ends.
