Off Road Rant
As much fun as we're having at OFF-ROAD Magazine wrenching and working all the time, there is never enough daylight left to get out and see what's going on in everyone's garage. And we'd really like to see more of what all of you are doing. A big part of our jobs at the magazine is to show you new products, unique applications, ingenious inventions, unbelievable truck builds, and ideas that might help you build your own off-road ride. And since we just can't be everywhere at once, I need proactive readers (like yourselves!) to let us know about cool things you see, or build, or invent. I know there are lots of you out there with really cool videos and/or pictures, and I'd love for every one of you to have a chance to show it off either in OFF-ROAD Magazine, or on OFF-ROAD's website, www.off-roadweb.com. There is the potential to get your ride shot as a feature, put in Off-Road Rides, have your newfangled invention shown off, or just to speak your mind in our Unloaded letters section.
So get in contact with us. Show us whatcha got! You can email Jordan at email@example.com, Kevin at firstname.lastname@example.org, me at email@example.com, or our Web guru, Jason, at firstname.lastname@example.org. And there's always snail mail:Off-Road Magazine2400 E. Katella Ave, Ste. 1100Anaheim, CA 92806
Images need to be shot at a high resolution for a chance to be published in the magazine, but low-res stuff works if you're just trying to show us a potential feature. Ideas or theories can just be mailed or emailed, and videos that are entertaining can be put up on our website under the Reader Vids section. As long as the videos are fairly clear and there is nothing too risqu (don't send naked vids of your chick, nor do we want to see your butt), we'll make sure to get them up on www.off-roadweb.com.
We received some new tires to test this month! To our knowledge, we're the first magazine to be able to test the new 42-inch Goodyear MTRs, and we've also been able to get our hands on a set of the brand new radial Pit Bull tires and the Goodyear Duratracs made for fullsize trucks. We tried to get our hands on the BFG Baja KRTs and General Grabber race tires in time to get in this issue, but those two proved to be trickier to get a hold of than we thought. The race tires just arrived at the office yesterday though, so look for an upcoming piece on how these two race tires square off against each other!
