Remember, we're giving away swag every month to the author of our favorite letter. Be sure to include your address, so we know where to send your goods. And since we lost our copyeditor, please know that we are not going to be copyediting your letter if you are going to be hating on us, so you better check it over well before sending it our way! Thanks!
Dodge Obd-I Ecu Solutions
This is to Jerrod Jones and anyone else with a pre-1995 Dodge engine computer. Here are some good websites that will help you with your '94 Ram project (Jinxy). www.bgperformancepcm.com/#magnum This one is for OBD-I computer tuning. This place can reprogram your ECU or give you a handheld unit to reprogram yourself.
http://nrar.com/This website no longer has information up on it about Dodge ECUs, but they can work on them.
I love Dodge trucks and have a '93 Dodge Dakota, upgraded with a 5.9L engine and a 2WD to 4WD swap with a 4-inch lift. I'm sure you get a lot of questions about converting 2WD to 4WD. The easiest way I found to do it is to get a wrecked truck (the same body style, year, and engine, but 4WD) and swap over your bed and cab off your 2WD truck to use on the 4WD frame and suspention. This is what I did and it took two days. Easy!
I would also love to see more old Dodge projects!
Check Out Snore Racing!
Good job with the mag. I dig your Rant column. I'm the same age as you guys (31) and have similar issues facing mortality. On a recent trip with my dad, we (he) rolled his truck three times down the side of a snowy mountain in Wyoming, but we both escaped injury. Just another close call with mortality!
When you get the chance, check out some SNORE races. It's a great organization. My buddies and I call ourselves Desert Mayhem and do remote pits for 2008 Class 15 (Unlimited Sportsman) champ Wesley Stephans. We'd be happy to help get you in touch with the right people for media passes, pit passes or I'd even sneak an extra SNORE Official pass for ya'.

I have been reading OFF-ROAD Magazine for a few months now and I love it! Ihave a two-year subscription and can't wait until I get new issues every month.
I'm writing you this letter for a school assignment in English class. I decided to write to your magazine specifically because I like it so much more than any other mag. OFF-ROAD has at least one prerunner or desert-type vehicle every issue that is the real deal. This sets you apart from the others. Most other magazines don't have any desert vehicles in them. I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma with a Camburg long-travel kit, bed cage, and I'm looking to make it solely a desert Toy over the next few years
I hope you keep making your issues the same way you do now. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter and I hope to hear back from you soon.
Redlands High School student
Does this mean you wouldn't have written to us if it weren't for English class? Just busting your balls, Cobie. Man, you have a way more modified truck than I did in high school! Sweet ride!
Here's some good advice for class: invest in a paper cutter so you can slightly chop down your magazine every month so it will be more easily hidden inside your text books. That should get you through at least a couple of boring classes.
Worst Reading Places
Here I am in the surgery center for the broncoscopy - a scope went in through my nose and took pics. Then they washed and sucked out plugs that were a result of toxic fumes from a job I was recently let go from. I said, "Hey, Dad, take a pic since I'm reading!" That fauxhawk hair is ingrained so well now that I wake up with it like that. I'm back out of the hospital now and can breathe, mountain bike, and run again. These things are way under appreciated!

This month the author of every published letter is going to get a DVD copy of Fast & Furious - "new model, original parts." It's available on Blu-ray and HD on July 28, 2009. It's a pretty entertaining movie and has a few moments of some dirt shots with prerunners involved.
