2009 Chevy 2500 HD 4x4 - A Double Dose of Red

The other morning we got a call from a girly voice inquiring about a photoshoot. "Uh, we really don't use models in OFF-ROAD. Sorry. We can give you Mini Truckin's number if you want...." After a good laugh, Heather Keller corrected us. It wasn't her that we needed to shoot (though we certainly wouldn't have objected) and instead her new red Chevy that had just gotten the first of a new dual coilover kit for Chevy 2500 4x4s. It sounded intriguing. An HD diesel 4x4 on 37s that retained the IFS and still played in the dirt? And owned by a chick, no less (no offense meant to the female persuasion, of course)?

"When and where can we shoot it?" was all we could ask.

Driving the truck out from New York, Heather met us in the sand dunes of Oceano, California. There, we got our first glance at something that we knew we wanted to sink our teeth into (the truck, stupid!). Heather's truck had received a recently released dual coilover suspension designed for current 2500 4x4 Chevys, and she'd done the entire truck up in a black and red theme that was near and dear to our chief editor's heart. We were a little wary of how'd she actually use the truck once were there, but we wanted to see it, regardless, because it had the new Pure Performance dual coilover kit on it.

But Heather didn't let us down. She came into the dunes with tires spinning, ready to incur some potential damage on her truck. And we know the question you're all wanting to know: is Heather a truck girl or is this something her boyfriend built? Heather tells us that as much as she loves a good guy, she'd gladly trade hers in for a truck any day.
