The OE JK front housing is weak. Cody chose to ditch it and have his dad and the rest of the crew at Currie Enterprises build one of the new F9-44 frontends for his JK. Designed for competition, the F9 is extremely strong. Besides its 3/16-inch plate and tubes, note the truss. The 44 version uses gusseted JK knuckles and JK brakes. The axles use strong 1550 U-joints. The F9-44 can be built to stock width, as they are here. The F9 is also available with 35-spline axles and one-ton outers. These have to be a bit wider than stock, though.
