The layout under the hood is clean and simple. Original carburetion means the electrical wiring is very minimal. The powerplant is a 289 V-8 that was assembled at Chuck's Speed Shop in Phoenix, Arizona. The intake is a period-correct aluminum unit and the fuel is metered by a Holley 670 CFM Truck Avenger carb, replacing more modern units installed by the previous owner. All plumbing was replaced for safety and reliability.
