An original trussed Ford 9-Inch axle is hung from Deaver refurbished leaf springs in the rear. Two more Pro Comp shocks per corner dampen the rear axle of the Bronco. Inside spins a Detroit Locker shod with 4.56:1 gears, and the brake drums were angle-drilled by Stroppe to help with cooling. The rear section of the Bronco frame was specially modified by Stroppe and the leaf springs were outboard mounted outside the frame rails to increase stability. These features are unique to this Bronco and help to distinguish it as the original '69 race Bronco.
